Deer Rattle Making Workshop- Exploring Shakers

Inspired by the wisdom of our ancestors, we will explore the powerful art of shaking together through rattle making, ritual, meditation, sound journeying, and other physical embodiment and ‘Way of the Circle’ practices.

We’ll be guided through the deep and meaningful process of making rattles from deer skin, exploring the physical and metaphysical aspects of working with deer. We will move through their habitat into the wild to understand how we can process their bodies with intention to create tools of transformation. In honouring the forest, land and creatures we allow ourselves the opportunity to connect with nature ourselves and each other.  When we tune into deer energy we are able to reflect, relate and sink into our own skin, wrinkles & all.

Participants are invited to arrive on friday evening to settle in and wake up on the land. We will start the workshop Saturday morning with breakfast @ 9:00. Our adventure into the skin will begin at 10:00am. Light lunch and dinner are provided. Saturday evening sauna. Bring a towel and water bottle. Sunday morning we will have breakfast and continue in our process, birthing our rattles later that day.

There are several space to stay inside on the farm, camping is welcome as well.
