This year we’ll be making little leather bags to hold a Sewing/ Repair kit. Throughout the process you’ll learn:

  • several basic leather hand sewing stitches
  • make a versatile set of needles for working with leather and fabrics
  • design and construct a thimble
  • make a simple awl
  • learn how to make and use thong (leather string)
  • some basic pattern making techniques

Learn the slow craft of mending & tending to the skins, honouring the animals while exploring these skills from our human perspectives as a group.
