Fulcrum is more than just an event—it is a living, breathing community that extends beyond our time together each spring. The knowledge, relationships, and experiences we cultivate ripple outward, shaping our lives and the communities we return to. The connections forged with friends new and old brings a familial feeling. to the collective space.
As we gather, we honour the diversity of perspectives, talents, and energies that each person brings. Whether through hands-on skill-sharing, deep conversations, or moments of quiet reflection, we weave a tapestry of learning and mutual support. By embracing the full spectrum of our humanity—our joys, challenges, and curiosities—we create a space where growth and transformation can flourish.
Together, we are not just participants but co-creators of this village, building something that continues to evolve long after we part ways. The magic is real, and the learnings can last a life time or more!
Please come prepared to be in a camping environment, the weather can range from cool, and wet to sunny and hot. Even though we have many luxuries here, like running water and shelter it is important that we bring what we need to be comfortable. All meals are included in the experience at Fulcrum and we value the mealtimes of breakfast lunch and dinner for social connection, resting and nourishment.
The camping is field to forest and there are a variety of different zones to set up camp. Quiet time is generally 10pm. Saturday evening open mic night and jam it may be 11pm. We have a few kinds of farm animals onsite, we ask that you are respectful of them by driving slowly when dropping off your gear. There is lots of space for car parking. Ride sharing is always a fun way to come to a gathering so check out our facebook group for possible ride sharing opportunities. We look forward exploring and skill building with you this spring!
The stars are amazing to connect with out here!

Known as the Mineral Capital of Canada This is a rural area and rolling hills rests in what is known as the Archaean rock region and on what is considered the Canadian shield. This land, now known as Carlow/ Mayo Township, is the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people, who have lived here since time immemorial. In the late 1800s, Irish settlers colonized this area, yet the Indigenous presence, stewardship, and connection to this land persist to this day. We acknowledge the ongoing relationship of the Algonquin Anishinaabe peoples with this land and recognize that it was never ceded or surrendered. There are many forms of resources that live here on, in and with the land. We are grateful to have so much to offer and receive.
This place on the earth has an abundance of natural and man made resources:
We all participate in creating and maintaining the “Village” environment by taking on at least one volunteer shift during the gathering. Sign Up Onsite.
Upon arrival at the Skill Share on Friday May 16th, you will be welcomed and invited to sign up for a volunteer shift in one of the 6 areas of support.
These shifts are 1-2 hours and you are welcome to help in ways that you see need support throughout the weekend too if you are keen. We all appreciate the time everyone puts into tending the physical nature of our communal gathering. Thank you kindly in advance for your support!
We also offer Volunteer Lead Roles for these Areas each year. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in getting more involved as we may still have positions available. 🙂
Fulcrum is a family friendly event that aims to value everyone for where they are at in life. We do however have some key agreements that we would like you to consider in regards to participating. These agreements are set in place for us to have a touch point of common grounding and create a safer environment for everyone at the gathering. Please take a read through below.
Feel free to reach out with any additional reflections, questions, concerns and or considerations to add to the pot.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
